Deep Forest and Eagle Habitat Interpretive Walks - Rockport State Park: Free (Discover Pass required for parking)
Have you ever wanted to be a Junior Ranger? Visit Rockport State Park this winter and earn a custom made, wooden Junior Ranger badge after completing a booklet and attending a guided hike! This forest tour will take you deep into the 670 acres of old-growth forest of Rockport State Park at the foot of Sauk Mountain.
The Deep Forest Experience will take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through February 18, 2018. Family-friendly guided hikes will take place at 11, Noon, 1, and 2. Stop in the Discovery Center to warm up by the woodstove, enjoy some hot chocolate, as well as check out the displays and activities.
Obtain a Junior Ranger booklet from a Ranger at the Discovery Center. Hope to see you out there! Discover Pass or $10 Day Use fee is required to access the park. Guided hikes & Discovery Center are free.
