Cats, bats, and rats -- oh my! Join us for a celebration of all of Halloween's creepy crawly creatures.
Start at the Lightcatcher building at 10 a.m. to meet dogs and puppies from the Alternative Humane Society and make braided dog toys! You'll also get to craft fun animal masks for yourself and create spooky Halloween dioramas.
Then, flap your wings over to Old City Hall at noon to make bat launchers, spiders, and partake in festive feathered activities inspired by the owls and ravens in our Hall of Birds. And what's Halloween without black cats?! While at Old City Hall, we'll guide you into the Syre Education Center next door to visit with AHS cats and kittens (of all stripes and colors).
And if THAT'S not enough, tip toe down to the Old City Hall basement for ghostly (but family-friendly) tours of the old Bellingham jail. This is a favorite every year! Find the old padded jail cell and see if you can make out the writing on the wall. It will be a hauntingly good time!
10 a.m. -- 4 p.m.
Old City Hall (121 Prospect St.) and the Lightcatcher building (250 Flora St.)
$3 reduced admission all day!
